In most cases, you won’t need planning permission for a garden room if it adheres to building regulations and permitted development guidelines. These guidelines include keeping the building under 2.5m in height, not using it for overnight accommodation, and ensuring it does not exceed 50% of your land area around the original house. Additionally, the garden room should not be built in front of the principal elevation or closer to a public road or footpath than the house itself. If your garden room falls within these parameters, planning permission is generally not required. If in the unlikely event, you do need planning permission, we can manage the process for you. We’d advise you to give us a call and we’ll happily talk you through this in more detail.

Yes, we install industry leading RADIX galvanised steel ground screw foundations. Screws can be installed much faster than concrete, which requires time for pouring and curing, screws are also less invasive and have a much lower environmental impact compared to concrete foundations, as they don’t require extensive digging or soil displacement. And finally, high-quality ground screw foundations have strong load-bearing capacities, comparable to traditional concrete foundations.
